Websitesmade to last.

Everlasting Pixel is a design studio on Long Island. We design and build custom websites for professional firms, take each one through your approval at every stage, and look after it long after launch.

Long Island, New York

Most websites are built to be replaced. Ours are built to be kept: designed for one firm, built from scratch in clean, standard code, and handed over to you in full.

We don’t use templates or page builders, and we never hold a site hostage. When the work is finished, everything belongs to you.

Principles

What it takes to last.

  1. The square face of a clear glass cube held in the jaws of old brass calipers on a travertine bench.
    01

    Built from scratch.

Every page is designed for your firm alone. No themes, no drag-and-drop builders, nothing from a template marketplace. The code is clean, standard and documented, so a good developer can pick it up years from now.

  2. A small squared block of travertine on a plaster plinth, with a white feather resting on its top edge.
    02

    Light and fast.

Most of your clients will meet you on a phone, often on a weak signal. We keep pages lean and images sharp but small, and every page is measured against Google’s Core Web Vitals before it ships.

  3. A square opening cut through a thick limestone wall, framing pale sky and a calm sea.
    03

    Open to everyone.

We build to the WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standard and test with a keyboard and a screen reader, so someone using a magnifier or a voice assistant gets the same site as everyone else. It is the right thing to do, and it protects your firm.

  4. Seen from above, an old brass key with a square bow lying on natural linen.
    04

    Yours to keep.

The domain name, the design, the content and the code belong to your firm. We register the domain and host the site for you, so there is one less thing to manage. If you ever decide to move on, we transfer the domain and hand over every file.

Process

Nothing moves forward without your approval.

Every site is made to order. The work is divided into six milestones, and each one ends the same way: you review it, ask for changes, and sign off. Only then do we begin the next.

  1. 01 / 06

    Conversation

We talk about your firm, your clients and what the site needs to do. You receive a written proposal with scope, schedule and a fixed fee.

Your decision: You accept the proposal.

  2. 02 / 06

    Discovery

We study your current site, your market and your audience, and write the brief: goals, site map and a plan for every page’s content.

Your decision: You approve the brief.

  3. 03 / 06

    Direction

Two or three distinct visual directions, each shown on your real content: type, colour, photography and tone.

Your decision: You choose a direction.

  4. 04 / 06

    Design

Every key page designed in detail as a clickable prototype you can open on your own phone and laptop.

Your decision: You approve the design.

  5. 05 / 06

    Build

We build the site on a private preview link that updates as we go, so you can watch it come together.

Your decision: You sign off the preview.

  6. 06 / 06

    Launch

Your domain, redirects from the old site, analytics and a final check on real devices. Then we go live together.

Your decision: You give the go-ahead.

Design

See it before it’s built.

In the design phase you get a working prototype, not a slideshow of pictures. Open it on your phone, click through it, send it to your partners, and leave notes where you want changes. We revise until it is right, and only then do we write production code.

Standards

What every site ships with.

Performance
Core Web Vitals in the green on mobile and desktop, measured before launch.
Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA, tested with a keyboard alone and with a screen reader.
Code
Custom, standards-based and documented. No page builders, no plugin sprawl.
Search
Semantic markup, structured data, a sitemap, and permanent redirects from every old address that matters.
Security
HTTPS everywhere, very few moving parts, and automatic backups.
Devices
Designed for phones, tablets, laptops and large desktop displays, in every modern browser.
Privacy
No tracking you didn’t ask for. If you want analytics, we choose ones that respect your visitors.
Ownership
The domain name, design, content and code are yours. We transfer the domain and hand over the files whenever you ask.

Clients

For firms that are judged on first impressions.

We design for professional firms whose reputation was earned slowly and is worth protecting, including:

  • Law firms
  • Medical and dental practices
  • Financial and wealth advisors
  • Accounting firms
  • Consultancies
  • Life-sciences and pharmaceutical consultants
  • Architects and engineers

Care

Launch is the beginning.

Most websites start to decay the day they go live. Ours don’t, because we stay. Every site can include a care plan: updates and backups, uptime monitoring, content changes when you need them, and a short written review each quarter.

Tell us about your firm.

Every project starts with a conversation and ends in a written proposal, scoped to what you actually need. No packages, and no surprises.
